I wanted to go for it and pull out the 1st press version of Quiet Riot Metal Health LP. And give it a full listen and attention. I remember absolutely loving the song “Metal Health (Bang Your Head)” It’s one of those metal tunes that really got me into metal have to understand I was 10 years old in 1983 when this came out.
Also thought Cum on Feel the “NoiZe” was great as well for a 10 year old brain this stuff was hard and original. As I got older listened to more music I realized that Cum on feel the noise was a cover by the band Slade and their version is much better.
As I put the record on the turntable on Side 1- 1st Song Bang your head 1st flushed in feelings of nostalgia then a few giggles as I sang along to just the Bang your head part because I don’t remember all the lyrics. lol Then song 2 Cum on feel the Noize! again nostalgia. After that there is just nothing absolute junk every song on this album minus the 2 songs and 1 of them was a cover all suck!
This band was nothing special and what’s left today are the 2 songs that were great then that don’t hold up well at all today. Which leaves you with 8 other tunes that won’t even get your foot tapping as you listen. Even the last song “Thunderbird” which was their try at a ballad and even that is a fail.
In the 80’s ballads were big and most bands even the cheesiest ones pulled off 1 hit wonder ballads but Quiet Riot couldn’t even pull that off.
If they released their 1 song “(Bang Your Head) as a single and disappeared it would of been a better legacy.
Pretty sure one of the band members went on to WASP which I think did much better than this. Even though I don’t like WASP now and didn’t then.

As certain bands/ albums age they can become increasingly hard to find and in some cases even records that aren’t all that old can also be hard to find or get ahold of. Usually because they were pressed/printed in limited supply.
Or they are just that good and have no re-issue dates ahead or maybe none coming at all.
This is the break down of my latest struggles getting a hold of hard to find LP’s.
I’ll start with my most recent find. That would be Obituary Cause Of Death originally released on September 19, 1990 their sophomore album follow up to the insanely excellent Slowly We Rot “Another tough one to find or get” I do have a 1st Press and a remaster press on CD of “Cause Of Death” but that isn’t LP. So first few tries on Ebay I should first say getting locally here in the states is really hard so bidding or buying this LP would have to be overseas which means the cost of album plus the expensive tracked overseas shipping costs. 1st attempt to bid on it through Ebay I lost. Went for it again on Ebay a few months later after building up some more patience and luck. But this time I used a bidding BOT called Auction Sniper. This is supposed to really up your chances at a win since it will start placing bids that very last second left of the items auction ending. Sweet! right? Well wrong I still lost:-( Even with a damn BOT!
Now that means I had to hunt it down and just buy the damn LP from someone that is hopefully willing to even sell it.
Onto my fav media community & collection storage discogs the ultimate of everything media.
I find the beauty on Vinyl by a rad seller that goes by hammersmashedface love it! Located in England. Those that are not in the know that “name” is a song from an old 90’s Cannibal Corpse Song their 1st ever single and a good song at that;-)
He has it shipped and I patiently await for it’s arrival! All the way from England to my humble home and Metalized Turntable of DEATH!
The album I was next looking for was a well.. no an excellently received album some argue their previous work is the better “Monolith of Inhumanity released 2012 also a hard one to find” but whatever The Anthropocene Extinction was only released in 2015 and is a mother fucker to get ahold of on LP. And for good damn reason it is FanFuckinGTastic Technical-Death Metal that will rip your soul to shreds even if they may be Vegans. Welcome Cattle Decapitation #2 to my fine collection. I may only have 2 in my LP collection but I do plan on adding more well at least 1 and if you read this then you know what I’m gunning for next;-)
This one shipped all the way from Germany so it could grace my collection with it’s greatness.
Then my hunt for Rings Of Saturn – Embryonic Anomaly this one was hard to find as well.
After quite some time searching I found it in France.
This RoS album was their 2nd and the line up is NOT what it is today the biggest thing about Anomaly is it was recorded with the original lineup of only three members while they were at the ages ranging from 16 to 18. The lead singer is not the one that graces the other excellent RoS albums Dingir, Lugal Ki En & Ultu Ulla.
This Album is great. I also have Ultu Ulla on LP as well and it’s awesome as hell!
I’m still looking to add Obituary Slowly We Rot LP. I Have the Picture disc but want the standard LP with Cover.
Rings Of Saturn- Dingir LP -also hard to find looking to add to collection at some point if anyone is willing to part with it.
Dragonforce – Inhuman Rampage I’ll take this as Picture disc or Standard LP Sleeve!
Insanity – Death After Death Not exactly hard to find but it’s on my A.S,A,P list;-)
& It’s not exactly hard to find or get but it is hard to find/get at a reasonable price!
