This is my indoor Helicopter completed after it’s 3rd Modification what has changed is it now has a aluminum head which nicely holds the flybar in. The stock one was cheap and would come out on regular flight well maybe not regular I get her going so it would come out in flight and cause crashes so I spent $13 that’s with shipping and will probably save me an easy $30 in blades alone. Had to also replace the upper gear as well because while in flight outside which I never do but was dead calm. the flybar came out and the heli did a fatal twist and dumped hard on the street causing the gear to strip and knocking the head loose. Again this was caused by the cheap stock head that used to hold in the flybar if you do purcase a Lama v3 or 4 replace the head immediately.
This Heli is 22" and was quite affordable shipped under $100
And it is pretty quiet and is a blast to fly.
I think I enjoy flying this better than my HBFP non- modded of course.
This will surely get some upgrades Lipo for sure and Titanium boom as well no Super Skids they are so heavy and kill the speed and flight time in my opinion.
One negative to this heli is I noticed it operates on the same frequency as my Blazing Star 72.870 but the dip switches are not the same so I can’t even use the same tX on both Helicopters.
I will have to look into that hopefully I can do a little change up on the Dragonfly.
Update: May 31st brought her out for the first time today flew it around until the batt died was quite windy today 2mph winds with gusts at about 5mph but were far in between so I was able to get a good feel for this Helicopter.
Tried upgrade to 1200 mah lipo it does help with flight time ni-cad battery is max 9 minutes the Li=po is right at about 20 minutes!
This little heli is quick!
Modded my Lama3 added new motors as well.
Stock setup uses a 7.4v 800 mah lipo battery I upped it to a 7.4v 1200 mah Lipo and the head speed is improved but puts a major beating on the motors they are blazing hot after 1 use and requires me to lube the motors after every flight I have a feeling thses motors will be burnt up quite quickly.
Also noted that with the higher lipo I can see the motors putting out sparks from the speed I am pretty sure that is the brushes wearing fast.
Added video of test flight the new motors and lipo do add more power was at half throttle the whole flight:)
After flight I lube the motors with WD40 very carefully because where you lube them is at the top and right below that the motor puts out spark when running well I screwed up and it went under from over lubing now it smoke when starting up really sucks I am guessing it will be awhile before it dissipates:(

Have decided to add this because I feel as I have gotten revenge on the wild cat that has been living in my attic for the last 7-8 months she has had 2 litters and the 1st litter dissappeared they were all mean just like the mom.
Well she had another litter this time Sal has prevailed on Mothers day I stole one of her kittens! She was all hissing at me and angry but I had the last laugh as I ran away I could feel the warmth of happiness flow through me like the force.
WHO’S LAUGHING NOW ATTIC CAT!
I have saved this cat from a life of garbage cans and hate from the humans… he is the chosen one!
Sadly on Sunday May 25th I accidently stepped on my kitty and his neck broke I am so sad:( ……….R.I.P my little friend.
After I cleaned up I buried him in my yard my daughter and I said a prayer I know he is in heaven now and I miss him already.
